Privacy Policy
Last updated June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Slatedrift (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit slatedrift.com or book a call with us. We keep it short and plain.
What we collect
When you book an intro call or email us, we collect what you choose to share: your name, email address, business name, website, and a short description of what you’re looking for. We may also collect basic, non-identifying usage data (such as which pages are visited) to understand how the site is used.
How we use it
- To prepare for and hold the call you booked.
- To reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to scope, quote, and deliver your build.
- To keep the site working and improve our services.
We do not sell your information, and we don’t send marketing you didn’t ask for.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the business, and share only what they need to do their job:
- Cal.com — scheduling your call and sending the invite and reminders.
- Stripe — processing payments if you become a client.
- Vercel — hosting this website.
- Google Analytics — measuring which pages are used, and only if you accept analytics cookies.
Each provider processes your data under its own privacy terms.
Cookies and analytics
The site sets only the cookies it needs to function, plus — with your permission — Google Analytics (GA4) so we can see which pages are actually useful. We don’t use advertising trackers, and we don’t sell or share analytics data for advertising.
Analytics is off until you accept. When you first visit, a banner asks; nothing analytics- related loads unless you choose “Accept”. If you choose “Decline”, or simply ignore the banner, no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookie is set. Your choice is stored in your browser so we don’t keep asking.
Changed your mind either way? Clearing this site’s data in your browser settings resets the choice and the banner will ask again on your next visit.
Data retention
We keep enquiry and project information for as long as needed to serve you and meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or opt out of any communications. If you’re a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and the right to delete — and we won’t discriminate against you for using them. Email paul@slatedrift.com and we’ll take care of it.
